We are focused not only on the education of classical/ neo-classical ballet technique, but all aspects of the world of a professional ballet dancer as well. We welcome everyone, whether you are there for fun and exercise, or as a serious pre-professional student looking to have a career. We nurture each student with motivation, discipline, and positivity.
Pre-Professional Program
(By audition only, ages 14-19)
There are many dance schools all over the southern Maine area, but what sets us apart is our comprehensive pre-professional program.
Students will be required to attend 5 Ballet classes a week as well as, pointe, contemporary, and rehearsals. This amount of dedication is neccesary to acheive a professional career in Ballet.
In addition we will offer master classes in stage makeup, costume repair, resume building, head/dance shots, how to audition, and more.
Students will also benefit from occasional guest teachers from all over the country.
Recreational
Joining for the love of dance? All levels from pre-ballet to Level 2 are for anyone who wants to have fun and learn to dance. Level 3 requires previous experience from us or elsewhere. Students will have two performance opportunities a year but are not required to perform.
It's a great start if you want to join the pre-professional program as well.
